"I travel often — for work, for the kids' tournaments, for the occasional weekend that's actually mine. And for years I packed the same way everyone does: a beautiful bag that became a disorganized heap by the second day, or a practical one I was faintly embarrassed to set down in a nice hotel lobby. I never understood why I had to choose.

The Briggs Weekender is my answer to that. I wanted a weekender that looked composed walking through an airport but earned its keep the moment you opened it — a separate zippered compartment so your shoes never touch your clothes, four exterior pockets for the things you need within reach, a sleeve that slides right over your suitcase handle so you're not wrestling it through the terminal. The mint lining was deliberate, too: you should be able to see everything you packed at a glance, even in a dim room at the end of a long travel day.

I built it in water-resistant nylon with full-grain leather trim because a travel bag should be able to take the journey and still look like it belongs to you. This is the bag I reach for when I want to move through a trip feeling organized and unhurried — and I hope it does the same for you."
